Rhythm of Change (ROC) Belize

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and implementing activities that bring forth individual, social and environmental changes in our country. ROC is proud to be using innovative approaches such as yoga, mindfulness and other forms of wellness to promote peace-building and to mend broken families in order to create better communities in Belize.

Our Vision

 Rhythm of Change, Belize has a vision to taking the transformational and healing powers of Yoga and meditation to all corners of Belize and to the most vulnerable people. Yoga and meditation have been scientifically proven to improve mental and physical health. We at ROC believe that we can heal Belize with the programs that we do.

Our Mission

  ROC carries out its mission through three facets of work under which we do all our programs. These areas of work are; Peace building and Social Transformation, Training and Entrepreneurship and Creative Arts and Community Building

ROC Board and Committee Members

Michelle A. Williams

Chairperson

Michelle is an Advanced Certified Yoga Instructor E-RYT500(India), an Advance Children’s Yoga Instructor, Meditation Shiromani, a Vedic Thai Yoga Therapist.

Aloma Avilez-Hall

Vice Chairperson

Aloma was introduced to Yoga around the age of 10 by her cousin, Yogi Charu, who inspired her to hold on and capture any opportunity to engage in Yoga.

Greta Williams

Secretary

Greta Martha Williams started doing Yoga over 40 years ago with Orlando Pelayo and now attends her daughter’s studio Om Shanti Belize. She is a devout Christian.

Tyfara Andazi Panton

Treasurer

Tyfara started her Yoga journey while taking acting and musical theater classes in New York City in 2008. She was encouraged to take Yoga to foster a better connection.

Wagners Youth Facility

ROC has been conducting twice weekly classes with the female inmates at the Kolbe Foundation since September of 2016. Up to 24 women attend the classes.
