Eda Chang Arzu

Eda Chang Arzu a Belizean born of Jamaican immigrant parents, is a tertiary level educator for over thirty years. She is the founder and lead coordinator of the University of Belize’s Annual Marketing Exposition, an event that has been in existence since 2007. She established a program that encouraged students to engage in several sustainable development campus projects that have added aesthetics to the West Landivar Campus. She is team-player, and remains engaged in several community efforts. Eda continues to perform as a lecturer at the University of Belize since 2000, a vocation she does with a passion. She is a graduate of the University of North Florida with a Masters of Education, in Educational Leadership.

In June 2014, she took an interest in Ashtanga Yoga and since then, has been very instrumental in sharing with others the benefits of Yoga. Eda consistently engage in her community by introducing yoga to those she comes in contact with.

In August 2017 to present, she has volunteered her service to offer Ashtanga and Yin Yoga to the students at the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, of the University of Belize, and is the first person to introduce this discipline to these students at that establishment. During summer breaks from regular lectures, she volunteers to teach Yoga at schools, organizations and yoga studios in the community.

Her aim is to share with the wider community the need to create balance, physical and emotional awareness in one’s daily life.
For Eda, yoga is now a way of life.
